Starting tomorrow afternoon there will be a table set up on the stage displaying an overturned shot glass beside a prayer box.

In aviation and military tradition, an overturned shot glass carries a special meaning. It symbolizes a fallen aviator whose tab is still being held by the brotherhood. The glass remains upside down because that debt can never be repaid, but they remain a member of the squadron, the community, and the family forever.

Beside the glass will be a prayer box. If you feel so inclined, please stop by and place a prayer, message of encouragement, or scripture verse inside.

These prayers will be sent to Edwards AFB as a reminder that there are people across this country who appreciate their service, honor their sacrifices, and keep them in their thoughts and prayers.

May this small display serve as a reminder of those who have gone before us, those who continue to serve, and the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that endure beyond a lifetime.

God bless our fallen, our veterans, our service members, and the United States of America.
