Maple Lawn Farm celebrated the Winter Solstice with family, friends, and neighbors. We enjoyed soup by the hearth, walked with candles to the labyrinth, sang songs, and embraced the darkness and the light. Warm holiday wishes to all.

The name Connecticut comes from the Mohegan word quinnehtukqut meaning "beside the long tidal river." At Maple Lawn Farm we can sit and listen to the trickling of water as it collect into the pond. There, beside the water, you will find many native plants including this Mountain Laurel which blooms in June and is the state flower.
