Tao Farms Homestead is born again in Spy Coast Country. Rebirth as a micro farm or homestead. The home of will welcome back Meemaw's Ladies who are expected to contribute beautiful and nutritious eggs, Poppa's Poultry raising heritage meat birds, featuring Spy Coast Garlic and Herbs and a new addition of Spy Coast Sea Salt. We will have various flavors of local sea salt including Smoked Sea Salt.

We also have Tao Farms New York State Maple Syrup. Awesome for grilling, smoking or poured on top of a stack of delicious pancakes or French Toast.

Beast of a day for me and Meemaw on the homestead. After being away in Gatlinburg for a week, there was much to be done. Not the least of which was to move 3 tons of hay from the semi-truck trailer to our shipping container. It was an extreme workout. Then I had to get in the bobcat and level the ground for the expanded Apiary. We are adding 3 hives this Spring and hope to get another 10 more ready for bees. We will, eventually, have 25 hives here and we plan on placing hives on other farms and nurseries.

Waiting on the kidding and the lambing any day now. We have a ewe that seems to be struggling with this pregnancy. The Vet came out today to give her a once over and her vitals, gut sounds, appetite and bodily functions seem to all be within normal limits. She just lays down and sometimes struggles getting up. Not going to lie, a couple of times we thought she was dead until we got close to her. Keep good thoughts for Rapunzel.

Worked on the bridle trail, too. It's going to take a while to get that laid out and finished.

We will be bottling our NYS Maple Syrup this week and we hope to get back to soap making.

We have some soap for sale, we will have NYS Maple Syrup for sale. We have Mangalitsa Italian Sausage and Chorizo that is out of this world. We have Mangalitsa triple filtered Lard for sale, too.

This summer we will have our famous BeeUtiful Apiary Honey for sale and we will be doing some infusions, as well as making Mead for our Viking son, Hugh MasterFlex McBuns .

I'm very pleased that everyone who has purchased the hay is so happy with it. I'm being told that nothing is left behind.

Over 20 tons sold in the first three and a half weeks! A ton donated to horse rescues in the process.

Beautiful 1st cut timothy mix is here and in stock in abundance. Heavy, semi-compressed bales but they still flake nicely. 48 pounds each. Not tied with twine but rather with recyclable plastic straps. The twine typically used isn't recyclable. These bales are precision cut to size so that each bale is the same size and very accurate weight.

Just $10.75 a bale, picked up in Yaphank. Delivery is available by the ton, which is 42 bales that are 48 pounds each. $500. For each ton delivered, two bales will be donated to a local 501c3 registered Horse Rescue. For each ton picked up in Yaphank, one bale will be donated to a local 501c3 registered Horse Rescue.

This is NOT brokered hay. This is New York State hay from a single, 1,500-acre farm in upstate New York.

Three new hives coming online this Spring. Very exciting. Our plan is for 25 hives on the homestead and several hives strategically placed on the east end.

If you are interested in becoming a Apiarist, we will be hosting beginner workshops. We will also carry all of the supplies you need to get started. If interested, we have a service where you can contract our Apiarists to come set up your hive. Our Apiarists also service hives for a reasonable fee.
