The little piggies enjoyed some exercise outside! Bella had fun playing with them. She loves the pigs (and I think they love her too)! These 3 boys are growing fast!

These are dragonflies… I’d guess hundreds of them just flying around our fields in the early evenings. It’s an amazing sight! We want them… They eat huge numbers of mosquitoes, flies, and gnats. Eat dragonflies, eat!!

It was shearing day at the farm!! ✂️💈Everyone looks so good 🤩 Aaron Loux is absolutely amazing! Thank you! I finally finished washing all our winter fleeces… now we’ve more than doubled our flock (that’s a lot of fleeces)! I’m excited to see the difference in them.

Because we don’t have enough to do already on the farm… we got 3 new piglets! 🤣😂 These piggies are so cute! (A little back story: a friend saved them from being culled- their momma dried up and the farmer wasn’t ready to take on bottle feeding. But our friend was… for a couple weeks, but had to rehome them as they couldn’t stay on her farm)

Processing my raw wool… started with skirting then scouring. First went through a wash followed by two rinses (you can see how the water changed after each rinse). This one was Lexi’s…. I thought it was pretty clean to start with, but after finishing you can see how white it turned out 🤩 (The other fleece drying in the back is Poppy’s). Next step will be testing out my new carding machine!

We actually took a break in this heat and brought Bella to the Gorge. It was so refreshing!
