Soooooo, as you can see, we have new open space as Coke removed its cooler this morning. Why?

Because we effectively fired them.

Large distributors sometimes make it painfully apparent that servicing small, locally-owned stores is a nuisance. You rationalize it until that one day when the latest corporate edict makes it clear you are neither regarded as a customer nor do they care at all about either you or your community.

7 years ago we did the same thing when we banished Unilever for trying to dictate what ice cream we could or could not curate for you.

We will bring in a new beverage cooler. That’s the easy part. We are hard at work identifying exciting new small scale beverage makers of all types over the next month. Stay tuned…………..

It’s unusual to have a mid-day visit from our neighbors. We take extra steps to make it difficult to access either our compost or trash. That said, 🧸 are both adept problem solvers and ridiculously powerful. It’s a combination that sometimes leads to pay dirt. Today, however, our countermeasures held up.

We will just add that a concerned visitor took it upon themselves to rudely lecture our team about storage etiquette. Clearly this person, who offered to “run at the bear to scare it off” neither has lived bear country experience nor took 30 seconds to assess the situation. We did not accept the offer.

Siblings Emilie and Rasmus. A power duo. She: and former U18 Norwegian slalom and GS national champion. He: reigning 2026 World Junior Giant Slalom Champion and member of the Norwegian National Team Technical group (slalom / GS) with a top 15 World Cup result this season in Lillehammer.
