🐾 Help Us Find This Sweet Girl a Loving Home! 🐾

We have a 9-week-old kitten looking for a forever family! She’s smaller than her siblings, and while we’ve tried to introduce her to outdoor life, she’s truly meant to be indoors—she’s the BEST snuggler! Every time we bring her out to be with the other barn cats (raised inside) she meows at the door to come back in (unless she’s off playing).
No negative comments- we treat our barn cats well & it’s simply a fact of life on a farm!

💛 She’s FREE to a good home, and if anyone would like a buddy for her, we also have other adorable kitten available, though our main focus is finding a home for this girl first.

🎃 Halloween may be over, but those pumpkins don’t have to go to waste! Home Sweet North Farm is offering pumpkin pick-up in Newfolden, Strandquist, and Karlstad. 🐐🐖 Our animals love pumpkins, and it’s a great way to keep them out of the landfill!

Fun fact: last year, our animals ate every pumpkin we gave them, and a few seeds must have made it through because we had 16 surprise pumpkins pop up in our winter goat pen this year! 🍂😂

We’ve been busy growing fresh, local microgreens with Green Sunshine, and now it’s time to take things up a notch on our farm!

🍄 First up—organically raised mushrooms! 🍄 These beauties will be available for purchase in the coming weeks, perfect for adding rich, earthy flavor to your favorite dishes. Who’s interested?

This fall we encourage you to "leave the leaves"!!

Benefits of leaving some leaf litter on the ground:
- They provide cover for wildlife
- Can suppress weeds
- Act as natural fertilizer, reintroducing nutrients into the soil
- Less labor intensive work in the garden
- Improved soil health
- Increased biological productivity

We understand that leaving leaves on the ground is not common in traditional gardening practices. With that being said, sustainable gardening is focused on more than just aesthetics! Even having a small portion of your yard dedicated to leaf litter can make a huge impact on local wildlife! It can even be in your back yard :)
