Sabor de la Door 2026 has come, but doesn’t need to be gone!

We held a salsa-tasting contest with entries from Old Mexico, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Moises Zahler, Gloria's Authentic Mexican Restaurant Door County, and the kitchen of James F Gomez & Michelle Gomez.

The vote went to Moi Zahler (did he get help from his mother??), who will proudly display the Molcajete Dorado…somewhere.

Special thank you to Old Mexico. When we went to them with a last-minute request, they donated the goods, and the contest was ON!

All of that said: WE HAVE SALSA!! Stop by Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Sturgeon Bay this afternoon to pick up your evening snack! DONATIONS (suggested $5-10/container) are welcome, and will support next year’s Sabor de la Door event, penciled in for September 25, 2027.
