We moved cows today from the Little Johnson Pasture to the hayfields. We started feeding hay over there and then yesterday we set up the electric fence around a hayfield. We did not cut any hay this year due to the drought, but there is some grazing. The cows and calves look good due to the native "hard grass" of Western Dakota. The problem this year... extreme temps and little precipitation... we are just running out of grass.

A beautiful evening at the ranch... No rain to speak of... but we will always appreciate a rainbow.

I like to eat well... Lonetree Steak, Couple of shrimp, a homemade roll (made by my better half) and a salad that has bacon as an ingredient.
By the way... at the Men's Day in the middle of September at RBR... We will be serving Lonetree Ranch Steaks. As old Andy Griffith would say.... "MMM-mmm GOOD"
