Well we finished our branding chores with a hardworking group of hands. There was also lots of laughter and fellowship. Well over a century of the Lonetree Ranch brands on Hereford cattle. What a blessing.

What better time to continue the Legacy of the Lonetree Ranch with the next generation than at branding time. It is so nice to have Hunter and Ryder with us along their mom, Molly Reinhold Fisher. Uncle Caleb and Uncle Danny enjoyed giving some hands on instruction and W***y the Paint Pony did his part as well.

Chore Light... I have generally thought that we were average folks. And we are. But the lifestyle that we live is hardly normal. Few experience the warm light in an old barn at dusk. Sadly few youth today have "real chores" that present life lessons. This is and has been a familiar scene for nearly a century in the barn on the Lonetree Ranch. Likewise on farms and ranches around the region during this busy calving season, it is seen as well. Cherish the opportunity and or memories of this experience and look for ways that you may share it with others. The impact of these life lessons cannot be framed and hung on a wall but are rather entrenched in the heart.
