Cookie’s little Chestnut has finally arrived!

We’ve been anxiously awaiting this little one, who was due October 4th. This was Cookie’s first calf, and she did absolutely wonderful!

Little Chestnut was positioned backward and twisted, making her arrival a challenging one. But with lots of prayer and a helping hand from us, she was safely delivered. We’re so thankful that both mom and baby are happy and healthy!

Welcome to the farm, sweet Chestnut!

Little “Chestnut” finally arrived; we have been expectantly waiting! Cookie is one of our first calf heifers and she was an absolute champ! Little Chestnut was presented backwards with a little twist. With lots of prayer and God’s help we were able to deliver her safely and in time! So very grateful; both mom and baby are doing great. ❤️🐮

It’s always a joy to see the babies loving their life in the big pasture. Rainy days or sunny days…they’re happy just the same 😊

The girls are finally settling in for their first day at the Columbia County Fair; a lot of new sights and sounds. A big thank you to Damsel Garden • Flower Farm for all they do for us and their beautiful flower display! And thank you Jordan Rando for the beautiful cow portraits!

Abby and Finley are settling in at the Columbia County Fair! First day here; lots of new sights and sounds. The girls are getting a bath after their ride in the trailer. 😉

A lot of time and effort gets put in for the animals going to the county fair. Finley and Abby have come to know each other well the last few weeks. All the hard work will pay off this coming week; I’m so proud of these girls! day

Little Lucy seems to be enjoying her ride back to the barn and Lily is right in tow keeping a close eye on her new baby! So thankful for such a great pair!! 🥰🐮

Lily had her first calf, a beautiful little heifer! What a blessing she is.
We have our county fair this week and Lily was due during that week. We are SO grateful she calved a few days early!
Welcome to BenzWick Acres, little Lucy!

Flower finally had her calf!
We kept a close eye on Flower throughout the night because yesterday morning she was giving us one of those telltale signs that calving was getting close—she wanted to be off by herself. ❤️ Cows will often separate themselves from the herd when they know it’s almost time.
By early morning, Flower had started labor, and before long she welcomed a big, beautiful bull calf into the world!
Flower did a wonderful job, and both mama and baby are doing great. There’s just something special about those early-morning calves—especially after spending the night checking and waiting!
Welcome to BenzWick Acres, Frankie!
