UPDATE: Firefly and her babies have found a new home together.

BMK Firefly’s doelings out of Rustic Acres Phineas will be available in mid-July. These photos are a couple of weeks old—I will be posting more as the girls grow. Please PM if you are interested. Firefly evaluated at an 86 when not in milk (out of a possible 89). Phineas evaluated at 89 (also very good). These doelings should be very nice dual-purpose Kinders. Their parents both have width and chunk as well as good milking genetics behind them. I would expect fairly long lactations even when they are milked only once a day. They are likely to mature to around 24” in height. Violet will likely be a little taller than Iris (who has a bit of white on her front legs).

Also available is 7-month old Gingersnap, out of BMK Dahlia and Rustic Acres Phineas. She and Chloe are looking for a new home where new owners will work with them to overcome their shyness. Gingersnap also comes from lines with soft udders and nice-sized teats.

BMK Chloe is a 10-month old doe out of Snowy Owl Homestead Lillybet and Rustic Acres Phineas. She is skittish and will require some time invested to bring her around. She will be discounted for that reason. Treats and spending time with her in a smallish space will help. I would like to sell her with Gingersnap, who has the same issue. (There’s a backstory here.) I was going to add in Sparkles, but Sparkles has injured a foreleg somehow and will be here for a while as she recovers. Please reach out if you are interested in Chloe, whose lines have soft udders and teats nicely sized for hand milking.

BMK Redmon, a solid, handsome buckling out of Pricker Patch Honeybee and Rustic Acres Phineas, will be available mid May. His two older full sisters have evaluated at maximum possible scores not in milk (89). Redmon is going to be a really nice buck.

A fine spring day. Some of these girls will be listed next week, along with a few from a second group that hangs out at the garage barn.

We will be listing a number of our Kinder does and doelings for sale mid March as we look to right-size our herd for a couple of aging goat keepers who need fewer mouths to feed and hooves to trim. (When one of us looks forward to a birthday this year that begins with the number 8, it's time to do this.) We will be looking for good homes with conscientious, caring owners. We'll continue to raise quality Kinders, just on a smaller scale. If you are looking for Kinders, feel free to get in touch and to watch this space for listings. We prefer that our does go in groups or at least pairs.

Firefly is bred to Phineas for kids due around April 12. Not in milk, Firefly evaluated at 87 out of a possible 89. These kids should be beautiful and will be available.
