We’ve upgraded our Charcuterie Game!

While you were off summering, we were quietly getting serious.

Between our Third Saturday tastings, we’ve spent the summer sourcing some of the best cheese and meat we’ve ever carried: Smoking Goose, Mercado Famous, High Lawn Farm cheese, and more.

If you missed the tastings, we’re sorry — it’s been that good.

Now that cooler weather has us thinking about indoor hosting again, the timing couldn’t be better. As always, we’re baking fresh baguettes every Friday and Saturday to go with it!

Need supplies? Come on by. Need it done-for-you? Call today.

Summer’s winding down, but the good news? Grilling isn’t done yet!

Don’t put the grill cover on just yet! Massachusetts is still giving us warm evenings, and that means there’s time for a few more backyard dinners before the sweaters take over for good.

Stock up on marinades, spice rubs, and delicious new sauces for one more round of outdoor meals.

Crazy Uncle Red’s Stole the Show!

Last Saturday we paired Demon Seed from Boston Harbor Distillery with a spread that had folks going back for seconds, and we loved getting to spotlight a store favorite.

Even better, we got to meet the maker of Crazy Uncle Reds in person! Thank you to everyone who came out!

Missed it? All of these products are available in store.

Is it spicy? Depends which bottle you grab. 😏

We love a good origin story, and Is It Spicy Sauce has one!

A woman-owned and minority-owned, small-batch sauce company out of New Jersey, built one hand-crafted bottle at a time.

We’re starting with three:
🌶️Cowgirl Drip,
🌶️Cheeky Salsa Rosada, and
🌶️Cherry Bomb Ketchup

3 ways to make your fries, tacos, and everything else a little more exciting.

Come taste what the hype’s about!

Try these. Just once.

And fall in love.

Think you can handle Demon Seed Whiskey? Scorpion peppers, real maple syrup, and zero mercy.

This Third Saturday we’re pairing it with High Lawn (local) Cheese, delicious charcuterie meats, and small batch condiments from Crazy Uncle Reds and Terrapin Ridge Farms.

You’re going to need them to cool the palette!

Just added, non alcoholic sips from Blind Tiger Spirit-Free Cocktails 💥

We taste every third Saturday.

Farm to Table Kids’ Cooking Camp!

There are just a few spots left for camp next week. 08/10 -08/13

If your child likes helping in the kitchen, or has never had the chance to try, this is the perfect time to sign up.

From Monday to Thursday, campers ages 8 to 12 will spend four mornings learning skills they can use long after summer ends. They’ll practice knife safety, basic nutrition, and kitchen hygiene, all through hands-on activities just like real cooks.

This camp is about more than just learning techniques. There’s something special about a child tasting a fresh-picked tomato for the first time or discovering the unique smell of basil. These hands-on experiences spark creativity in ways worksheets can’t.

Cooking together helps kids build teamwork, patience, and confidence, just like families have done for generations around the kitchen.

At the end of each day, campers sit down to enjoy the meal they made. They’ll also bring recipes home, so the learning can continue after camp.

Share Your Memories!

For 55 years, you’ve made us your neighborhood contemporary general store.

Since 1971, you’ve come to Duck Soup for those hard-to-find ingredients, a gift someone will actually use, and a friendly chat at the register that sometimes becomes a lasting friendship.

This October, we’re celebrating with special events, surprises in the store, a look back, and we want you to be a part of it!

So, what’s your Duck Soup memory? Was it a favorite staff member, your first visit, or a product you still love? (Duck Soup Blend Coffee, anyone?)

We’ll be featuring our favorites, and someone will win a prize for their entry as the celebration builds toward October.

Whether you were here yesterday or 50+ years ago, we’d love to hear from you!

Share feedback and win!

Scorpion pepper whiskey. Berkshire cheese. A charcuterie lineup that reads like a passport.

This tasting isn’t messing around.

We’ve got Boston Harbor Distillery pouring their Demon Seed whiskey (scorpion peppers, real maple syrup, not for the faint of heart), Maple Cream, and Espresso Martini, alongside a full spread of small-batch condiments from Crazy Uncle Reds and Terrapin Ridge Farms.

Think bacon pepper dip and hot pepper jelly, the kind of stuff you’ll want to put on everything.

We’ll slice into High Lawn Farm’s Berkshire-made cheese, layer on charcuterie from Smoking Goose and Mercado Famous, and stack it all onto Norwegian Baked’s organic crispbread and Duck Soup’s own fresh-baked bread for good measure.

You’ve basically built the best cheese board of your summer, one free sample at a time.

And as always, we never know what Frank might surprise us with, so join us!

We taste every third Saturday.
