Congratulations to all our riders who competed at Next Venture Farm horse show this past weekend! Many riders moved up a level and did very well with special congratulations to Ava Callahan and Gentleman’s Accord for winning double blues in the Open Equitation 14 and under flat and fences which earned her Championship in that division! Also special congratulations to Jamie Crofton and Dolcemonte for earning double blues in her Pre-Children’s fences classes also earning Championship title as well! Last but not least, congratulations to Alexandra Habif and Lux at her very first horse show on her win in the Walk-trot pleasure class! It was a fun day had by all!!

Blue Meadow Farm opened a little over ten years ago and one of our first clients Kim Bullock brought her horse Tucker here on this date 10 years ago! It has been a pleasure to work with Kim and Tucker all these years and really see their partnership form! They are a wonderful pair! Thank you for deciding to come to Blue Meadow!! Happy 10 year Anniversary!! ❤️

Another great show at Next Venture Farm this past weekend!! Congratulations to Rina Canute, Jamie Crofton, Siena Kurth and Devon Murphy!! Each show the girls are improving so much!! Special congrats to Jamie earning reserve championship in the Short Stirrup Equitation division and Devon earning reserve championship in the Elementary Hunter division and Rina earning championship in the Low Hunters division!!

Rusty seems happy with his first place!! Rusty earned a 71.7% for a win in his Training Test 1 class at NEDA Fall. Both Rusty and Dooley earned respectable scores in their Training Level Championship class as well but were just outside of the cut off score for ribbons. It was fun working with both horses to further develop their training and I’m already looking ahead to a great year next year! Thank you Jodi Pearson-Keating Dressage for the great instruction this year!!

Congratulations to Gina Anastasiou, Jamie Crofton and Devon Murphy at the SEHA Medal Finals yesterday!!! All three ribboned with special congrats to Devon for earning Reserve Champion in her final. All three girls showed a great improvement in their riding all year and it showed in the season finals!!

Special congratulations to Gina, Jamie and Porter for qualifying and competing at the MHJ Finals also held at Fieldstone August 29th!! Such a great week of showing!! And a special shout out and thank you to Ericka Ford and Siena Kurth for all your hard work helping with grooming!!

This is long over due but here are the latest show updates.

So proud of how Show me the Way aka “Rusty” did at his first dressage show August 20-22 Centerline HITS. He received great scores of 70.6 and 69.6 which qualified him for the GAIG Region 8 Championships in late September. Rusty also placed 4th in the East Coast Riders Cup Championship at this show!!! Cooley Catchphrase earned two scores of 68.1 also qualifying him for the Region 8 championships!!

A sad day at Blue Meadow Farm today as Hershey’s battle with cancer became too much. He was with us a too short 5 years, but leaves behind his best friend, Oreo, and a lot of sad people around the farm. Hershey, you will be missed.

A special note about Maxine Scherz and Zoe Koechling… of course a huge thank you for all their help getting us through another show this season.
I wish them the best as they go back to college to finish their last year at school. They will be greatly missed but will always be part of the BMF family, both having been with us for close to a decade… from being young riders to key members of our staff.
