The story behind the food goes a little something like this… Two hopeful Haitian migrants journeyed to the US in the early 70s, meeting and falling in love soon after their arrival. Once married, the two settled in Suffern, NY. They were some of the first immigrants to make their mark on the small town; becoming proud owners of one of the first black-owned businesses in the area. As their lives changed, they moved on from that business and grew their family. Always surrounded by their family, love, and of course cooking, their Sons felt inspired to open Royal Queen Food to share the culture and food with the rest of the community. The family is excited to serve you recipes that go back generations. From Tati Carol’s cookbook to your family’s table, we can’t wait to see you! Royal Queen Food is now open in Suffern!
