Yesterday, we took time as a family to say thank you and goodbye to our pigs. This is the second year we have raised pigs, and we are so grateful for the meat they provide us!

It was not an easy goodbye for our kids (or us, really), but it is part of the process. Each time we process an animal, whether it be a laying hen that is sick and suffering, meat chickens that feed our family and our community, turkeys that our family and community enjoy, or the pigs that feed our family, we always thank them for their sacrifice and for the fact that they feed us. We will always give our animals the dignity of a proper goodbye. It’s part of the process of raising animals the right way and the best way we know how.

We are so grateful for these experiences and truly enjoy raising our own food! 🐷🦃🐓

Rossi Farm is ready for Labor Day Weekend!!

🍗 We are still running a sale on chicken! The sale is available at the Farmers Market and in our farm store.

🐓 We only have a few whole birds left - come see us at the Farmers Market to grab one of our last roasters!

🎃 We are bringing lots of pumpkins to the Farmers Market and the farm store is stocked this weekend! Black, white, striped, and warty pumpkins are available! More varieties to come.

We are back at the Suffield Farmers Market tomorrow morning!! At last week’s market we sold out of whole birds and breasts pretty quickly so stop by early if you’re planning to grab those items! 🍗🍗

If you can’t make it to the market, don’t worry! The farm store will be stocked with all cuts of chicken, eggs, cucumbers, zucchini, and fresh garlic. 🍗🧄🥒
