Did you know we harvest chickens every single week so you can enjoy it fresh?

Many chicken farms process birds every few months and sell frozen chicken throughout the season. But for us, our goal has always been to provide the freshest products possible. That means long Wednesdays, processing every week so the chicken you take home hasn’t been sitting in a freezer before it gets to you.

Thank you, God, for the strength and endurance to keep showing up week after week, and thank you to everyone who supports our farm and makes it possible. 🤍

Garden update 🌱

For our first year tackling a garden, we’re pretty excited about how things are growing!

Right now we have tomatoes, bell peppers, basil, squash, cucumbers, potatoes, zucchini, lettuce, strawberries, broccoli, onions, garlic, bush beans, corn, and more still to come.

What many people don’t see is that this garden actually started years ago. Nick has spent the last two years cultivating this land and building healthy, living soil. Chicken manure has been aged over the seasons and transformed into the rich, dark soil that’s now feeding our plants.

We also try not to let anything go to waste around the farm. When a tree comes down, Nick mills the lumber for projects, and the leftover scraps become our garden beds. I love the rustic, natural look they give the garden.

We don’t use pesticides on our produce. Instead, we rely on companion planting, flowers, and sacrificial plants to help attract insects and wildlife away from the crops we intend to harvest. The result is naturally grown produce, healthy soil, and a garden that’s working with nature rather than against it.

Not bad for our first year. 🌿🙌🏼
