A lesson in regenerative farming:

Farmers are soil managers.
Everything succeeds or fails with the quality of your soil.
These plantain are great for medicine making but show failure to timely move your animals before they compacted the soil.
ā€œWeedsā€ always have their seeds in soil but only sprout for a reason. Plantain is an indicator plant that lets you know the soil is too compacted. They are part of natureā€™s way of helping us keep our soil balanced and healthy.
(Just like symptoms in humans tell us whatā€™s unbalanced in our body as it intelligently tries to rebalance and heal- if we donā€™t interfere.)

I know exactly when I left the cows in this spot two days too long. šŸ˜–
Work with nature and youā€™re rewarded.
You donā€™t win ever if you work against her.

Some decent rain would help mitigate the damageā€¦just saying, Mother Nature.

(Yes, I have a jar of dried plantain from the abundance. šŸ˜œ)
