🍕UPDATES: We’re still reminiscing on celebrating 2 years with you amazing peeps and always asking ourselves how can we continue to grow in experience, hospitality, and darn good food.

Well friends we’ve got some news! In order to do that and lean fully into who Sojourn is and what we aim to provide for you every single day, we’re switching some things up.

Starting Tuesday (Sept 1) our menu will look a little different. We’re scaling back so we can scale up and bring you NEW specials and experiences soon. Intentional-rotating delicious dishes that complement progressive European lagers, fresh ciders and let’s be real
anything in your glass! We look forward to bringing a new era of dining to the taproom soon.

If there is a menu item you believe HAS to stay, speak now or forever hold your ✌. The top one may get to stay. In the meantime, be sure to stop in today and tomorrow to get your fix.

Thank you for taking this journey with us and trusting us to nourish you and your family daily. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.

Tumbleweed is joining us for the first time in just one short hour (6-9pm) and we’ve officially crafted up all our cocktails for tomorrow’s Authors and Artisans (3-6).

Whether you’re looking to chill and listen or chill and read, we’ve got the vibes inside this weekend.

Look at this beautiful expression of free thinking and creativity. Full applaud. Titled “unattended” this piece will be here for a limited time only at Sojourn’s Wild Wood Exhibit.

If you miss it, don’t worry. We’re sure there’s more pieces yet to be discovered.

If you yourself are a creator of masterpieces (such as this one) our friends down at Suffolk Art League are looking for fine folks like you show in our Art Raid, September 25th.

They also have classes and we’re sure stippling is one of them. So join them, or us and get your Picasso on like this little tyke.

The weekend starts long before the first pint hits the table.

Sometimes it’s dough quietly doing its thing, a bubbling bucket, a table being set, or someone making sure the smallest details are right before the doors open. Tiny tasks done in the quiet before we even open to make a place for people to gather around them more intentional.

So come find your spot this weekend!

Tomorrow the Tumbleweed Duo takes the carpet as they play for their first time here at Sojourn from 6-9pm.

Saturday: Authors & Artisans returns with 20+ local Virginia authors and local creators from 3-6pm. Specialty cocktails and a day full of stocking up on fall reads...say less.
Can't make it during the day? Swing by as Cody Browning debuts from 6-9pm.

Whatever brings you in, raise a glass with us no matter what's in your cup. Have a cheese pulling contest with the fam and let us take care of YOU!

’Twas the day before school started,
and all through the house,
the backpacks were packed and the kids wore a pout.
Alarms were all set and the lunches prepared,
while parents looked at calendars slightly more scared.

Now practices, homework and meetings return,
with pickup times changing at every. darn. turn.
Early bedtimes and schedules packed tight,
and you're still left to figure out dinner each night.

So when there’s no time, or you just need a break,
when cooking is one more decision, you’d rather not make,
come pull up a chair and bring your crew,
order a pizza...and maybe a pint or two. 😉

Make time for the people across from your seat,
for catching up slowly while we make you something to eat.
We’ll handle the kitchen, the pours and the rest,
so you can sit for a while with the people you like best.

Back to school means planning, we know that much is true,
so here’s what’s happening at Sojourn this week,
to make planning a little easier for you.

And if those days have long past, or simply don't apply,
We still hope you'll join us over a tall basket of fries!

Answering emails. Checking notifications. Circling back and moving on to the next big thing. However, today is Saturday and while we know that doesn’t always mean a day off we hope it offers time to reconnect where you want to.

Let’s circle up with our core people. The ones who we take turns with filling each other’s cups. Where nobody checks the time and you don’t feel rushed. You feel seen and full!

Maybe we circle back on Monday (if able) and tonight we circle up.

Grab a beer. Order the pizza. Stay awhile. There’s room!

Happy Friday Sojo Fam! Thank you for being part of our story, but most importantly letting us be part of yours.
