I’ll never understand why my husband says he won’t eat it if it has onions in it. I am starting to think he just likes having his own of everything and likes the special treatment(s)!! Anyone else have a significant other that you cook a different version of a meal for due to their preferences? The man will tear up a bloomin’ onion from Outback, but needs his meatloaf “plain” ?!!!

I washed the baseboards today and I could feel my Dad’s little smirk as I scrubbed every single one! (I’ll add more to this post to explain the significance behind the baseboards and my Dad later on) I sure do miss that Man! If you knew my Dad, stand by for a “Foy story” Hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful day! 🥰

When my Dad got discharged from VB General (the first time) with no explanation other than “reflux” after losing over 40lbs, I asked to go with him to his hospital follow up with his P*P. After seeing him, I knew we needed answers and reflux wasn’t it! He wasn’t one to seek care for something like reflux and I knew in my heart this was something much worse. I won’t go into too much detail, but he was in bad shape to say the least! After leaving his P*P appt I asked him to come stay with me for a little while to try and gain weight and strength while we sought out more answers. He agreed!!! I was so surprised as he was not one to ask for help… ever! I texted my husband to tell him what was going on and asked him to clean up our son’s room because we were on the way! When we got back to my house I was so thankful and proud of my husband for making a space where my Dad could be comfortable and heal. Within hours of getting him tucked into bed he called me into the room… I thought for sure it was to tell me how thankful he was, but he called me in there to tell me I NEEDED TO SCRUB THE BASEBOARDS IN THAT ROOM!! I couldn’t believe the nerve!! I complained to my sisters and friends about it, but chalked it up to him being him and that was ok. He wasn’t one to tell someone they did a good job unless they did or sugar coat anything to prevent hurting someone’s feelings. If he was thinking it, he spoke about it! Sometimes I wish I would have inherited a little piece of that brutal honesty.

As I sat there looking at my clean living room I couldn’t help but feel him there, proud of my clean baseboards! Next up is the bathroom because no one wants to sit in a tub with soap scum (the next day he asked me to clean my tub to get the soap scum before he would go in it). I told him when he was feeling better I was going to show him where all the cleaning supplies were stored!! 😂

The results are in and W🤩W!! 9/12 were girls!!!!! I am so thrilled to be able to give people the ability to raise their silkies from a young age without the worry of it being a boy!! No more heartache of having to re-home your bird you’ve raised for 6+ months when it starts crowing! I have more I can send off, so send me a message if interested!! I never was able to find the perfect home for these two and I’m not sad about it!!! I guess it’s fair to say there aren’t many people in my area as crazy as me to need or want emus as pets. They have officially been promoted to livestock guardian dinosaurs and are completing their orientation with ease!!! 🤣🦕 Average Yeo’s
