Some life since selling the farm…it’s been a while since we’ve updated. To be honest, we’ve been enjoying the easy life and doing all the things while we aren’t tied to a farm for the time being. We’ve HAD A BABY! Olivia Renee was born just a couple days before Caila’s bday in April 🩷 We taught a class together at our homeschool co-op, celebrated the school year ending with a trip to the zoo, Ella went to her first junior prom!, we bought a boat & have been exploring, Chris turned 37 & his Navy retirement date has been set! We’ve enjoyed living simple but we really miss the farm. We’ve been looking and nothing has checked all the boxes…yet!

We’ve also hard hard times, our son was in a horrible accident & hit by a car at high speed while on his bike. He miraculously survived and not only that but with no major internal injuries. He’s recovering well and we are on the last stretch of healing. We wake up every day thanking God for another day of us all together! Please continue to pray for him with us and let us know how we can be praying for you!

After much prayer, conversation, and careful consideration, we have made the decision to sell the current property.

There are several reasons behind this choice—personal and business—but the largest factor has been acreage. It became apparent early on that our current property simply does not allow the space needed to grow responsibly and sustainably. As many of you know we’d been in search for more acreage for quite some time.

This decision also comes at a pivotal season for our family. Caila is currently pregnant with our fourth child due in April, and Chris is just over a year away from retiring from the Navy. We truly feel that this is a unique and intentional opportunity to pause. By selling the farm now and taking a year-long sabbatical, we are giving our family space to rest, to pray, to welcome new life, and to thoughtfully plan for what comes next. This time will allow us to search for and purchase the perfect property that aligns with our long-term goals and vision.

We continue to receive weekly requests for raw milk and beef, so we wanted to be transparent with our community about the transition taking place. Please know this is not a goodbye forever. We fully intend to return—serving our community with fresh raw dairy and beef in a much better capacity than before.

And yes, the future property will definitely include space to bring back totally awesome incredible summer camps (and more) that you’ve come to know and love!

Thank you for walking alongside us, supporting our family, and being part of this journey. We are deeply grateful and excited for what lies ahead! We welcome you to continue following along with our family as this journey unfolds! We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our (new) farm in the next year!

⭐️HEY YALL ⭐️ as you know, we have A LOT of fun doing ALL the projects at camp. This year, we are incorporating more imagination led creativity with some of our STEM challenges. We keep a box like this at home but we’re going to need a lot more random odds & ends that can’t be found in stores. When you’re cleaning out a junk drawer, your craft or homeschool room, or garage…think about this before you trash it! Donations can be dropped off in front of the schoolhouse door at the farm anytime! Here are some suggestions:
• paper towel & tp rolls
• empty milk or juice jugs/boxes
• unused straws, plastic ware, toothpicks, skewers
• muffin liners
• empty tin cans
• any & all craft/art supplies
• all kinds of tape
• tissue & wrapping paper scraps or whole
• popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners
• cotton balls & q-tips
• packing peanuts, bubble wrap, shredded paper
• yarn, twine, ribbon
• rubber bands, zip ties, paper clips
• paper & plastic bags
• wood scraps, corks, bottle caps
• wires, nuts & bolts, stray hardware
• old CDs (cmon yall, I know you still have em’)
• empty k-cup pods
• foil, plastic wrap, brown bags, ziplocks
• small empty boxes and containers
