Sharing for a local farmstead: chicken processing Wednesday. *read description *

Hello future and past students. We are processing 23 chickens on Wednesday. We are hoping for maybe one or two more volunteers. We hope to beat the rain in the afternoon. If you want to learn as we go then please reach out. You will learn how to go from free range birds to packaging whole for market. These will be heritage birds from stewing to fryers. Bonus. Any who participate will get to take home a stewing chicken and a pound of produce fresh from the gardens (probably green beans as they are plentiful).

FULL DISCLOSURE We will be saying a prayer and giving thanks PRIOR to processing.

Please keep in mind this is a rare opportunity as our FULL Chicken Processing Workshops include much more information and are $20 per bird plus $40 per student. This is learn as you go and you take a dinner to cook at home with you.
