Fall Reservation Update from Lakeside Harvest

Current projected availability:

• 2 Full KuneKune Pork Shares
• ~25 Heritage Turkey Reservations
• ~8 Ram Lambs

This year’s heritage turkeys will primarily be Red Bourbons and Narragansetts.

Reservations are first come, first served.

Smithfield Market is cancelled for this week. If you were planning to stock up on some pasture raised chicken cuts, or whole chickens, please reach out directly and see if we can work something out.

Update: Change of plans. We WILL be able to make it out to Country Boys BBQ today after all. 1230 - 230. Yes we will have chicken.

Rose Hill Heritage Farm 1630 and For Every Season Homestead and Bakery will still be there with goodies.

Currently Smithfield Farmers Market is still on with weather getting bad in the afternoon. If weather changes the market will put out a cancellation.

Lakeside Harvest is looking for part-time Farmers Market help.

This role is focused on:
- helping set up and break down market booths
- organizing frozen inventory and displays
- assisting customers
- helping with checkout/POS
- keeping tables and coolers organized throughout the market
- learning about pasture-raised meats and local farming

Most markets are weekend mornings in the Suffolk / Hampton Roads area.

Ideal for someone who:
- enjoys people
- is dependable
- can handle light-to-moderate lifting
- likes local food and agriculture
- works well in a fast-paced environment

This is not heavy farm labor or livestock handling.

Flexible/part-time. Pay based on experience and availability.
