Last corn trial to plant for 2026 and rolling down high biomass cover crop... no moisture in top 3" of soil so praying that The Weather Channel is right about rainfall on Saturday!

This is corn being planted into a hairy vetch cover. The vetch was rolled down using an 8' culti-packer and strip-tilled with a KMC strip-till implement the day before. The vetch was then planted green and will be chemically terminated.

There has been some upward movement in cotton prices, however that has been offest by increasing nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer.

Five of the eight major fertilizers had considerable price increases compared to prior month.
