As Colorado Cattlemen's president, Curt spent a week explaining ranch & western rural state needs to USDA, Fish&Wildlife, & AMS officials; visited with nearly all US Reps & US Senators from CO; as well as some NCBA & PLC sessions in Washington DC. Curt then rushed to the Logan County Cattlewomen banquet 4/25. Thanks to Ken Holtzworth for buying the Heading Home print in the CCA fundraiser there, and Jim & Becky Santomaso for sharing their Sterling Livestock Commission sponsored table with Reflected R's Curt & Susan.

Cory moved & attached some continuous fencing to a pressure point in our home pasture. We're trying to cross off the to-do list that Curt left us. Notice how DRY it is in SE Colo... Still praying for rain.

Curt sandwiched in AI'ing about 90 head of RRR females between representing Colorado Cattlemen's in Ignacio, CO and flying to DC, where he hopes to speak to lawmakers as CCA president this week.

Lots of sorting & AI breeding all today & more tomorrow. Sure glad Cory noticed the herdbulls broke a line post on a fence separating them from the RRR females. Sorry guys... we put in a new post.

Back window shattered on the Chevy pickup. New starter failed & had to be replaced again on the Volvo skidsteer. Ford pickup in the shop. Ugh!!

The story includes quotes from Curt as Colorado Cattlemen's president. (Like much of the West, we really need 3" of slow soaking rain and no wind!)

Spring is such a busy season at Reflected R with cattle breeding, plus fence & water repairs before turnout. The to-do list is long but we are glad to be daily stewards of land & lvstk.
