We'll work hard to make this the highlight of your vacation. We changed locations last spring and I'm back home. We are now riding the trails on my grandparents' farm. I spent almost every day of my childhood working and playing on this precious land. We have great trails through the woods and looking out over the mountains with beautiful views. Great horses, and fantastic trail guides will assure

that you're going to have a wonderful time! Trail rides are roughly an hour long and cost $80 per person. We don't take credit cards but cash, check, and Venmo (ok, I got a little modern) are welcome. We can't take kids under six on the trail but there are plenty of critters to pet at Ms. We'll even give them a pony ride if we have an extra guide and horse to spare. We'll ride rain or shine so to schedule give us a call at the farm at 828-297-7117. The web site is terribly outdated but check it out anyway. dutchcreektrails.com

I'm pretty sure AI stands for An Idiot. I just saw a new post that I didn't do. I think that An Idiot was trying to help me out.

Here's an update from the last update.
Most of the boys still have the same girlfriends as last post. Steve has got a new arm coming to fit what was left of his arm where he broke it and had to have plates attached so his old arm didn't fit no more. Glenn used a heat gun and took a tree branch and used it as a pattern to fix one of Steve's old arms for him to use while we waited on his new arm to be made. Steve's also got a new girlfriend. She is a nurse so that should be pretty handy for him.
Colin wrecked his truck. He got it out of the shop last week but it don't steer just right so he's taking it back to the shop. Ethan quit to take on a full time job. Now he's only here 3 or 4 days a week. Glenn got his motorcycle back. No key and a side cover missing but mostly in one peace. Part of the crew are in California right now. I know for sure Jonah and Caleb went. I think that's all. Luke is in Florida and Carson is working at the ski slopes. Kyle is working here and Sugar Mountain and singing everywhere he wants to. He's pretty much in high demand apparently.
That's pretty much all I can think of right now. Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year to all ye'all.
I almost forgot to tell you about Claire. (She just reminded me) She has been an instrumental part in the story here at the farm. She doctors all the animals. She instructs me about hay and personal relationships. She is irreplaceable when it comes to ... well ... She's just irreplaceable.

I think it's time to catch up after my last post. Since that last post and in no particular order... Franky and Doc got fixed. I got 2 new kittens named Jake and Skeeter. I got 3 new horses named Sugar, Johnny and Charley.
Steve broke what was left of his left arm. Glenn broke most of his fingers and cut off one of them on his left hand . Jonah is back from packing folks into the mountains in California. He's guiding for us and getting Christmas trees cut so you guy's can be ready for Santa. Most recently, Glenn's motorcycle got stole last night and Steve has a new girlfriend.
All the other boys are doing good and nobody has got plumb killed recently. New girlfriends have appeared. Old girlfriends have disappeared. Makes it hard for me to keep up with. Just as soon as I remember her name, she's gone and another one comes around.
I guess that is the price you pay when you have a bunch of heartthrob handsome young cowboys like we have here at Dutch Creek Trails.

They're at it again.

I need to have a word with Colin about his dismounts.

This rider is a Dutch Creek Trails guide. I want to make it clear, this is not a Dutch Creek Trails horse.

This is also one of our guides. Luckily for him this is also not one of our horses. 😅

Petunia And The Roster

Petunia and The Rooster,
Who doesn't have a name,
Are known for their friendship
and have won lots of fame.

They always go together
wherever they may go.
Sometimes in a hurry
but usually pretty slow.

Sometimes Petunia takes the lead,
The Rooster tagging right behind.
Sometimes The Rooster gets up front
and Petunia doesn't mind.

Sometimes The Rooster rides her back.
Sometimes The Rooster walks.
Sometimes The Rooster crows out loud.
Sometimes he only squawks.

Petunia never rides The Rooster
Cause Petunia’s just too big.
Guess I forgot to tell you,
But Petunia is a pig.

And a fat pig is Petunia
from her tail plumb to her front
Sometimes Petunia oinks out loud
but usually she’ll just grunt.

Now Petunia and The Rooster
They mostly like to sleep
And they’ve figured how to do it
So their friendship they can keep

The Rooster naps on Petunia's back,
The pig down on the ground
Cause the friendship would be over
The other way around.
