Salyers Percussion has been over 10 years in the making. In 2002 Bruce Salyers acquired his first mallet wrapping machine and has been producing world class mallets fo

r over a decade. The Salyers Percussion brand may be new but the man behind the name has been making mallets for some of the world’s greatest educators, performers and ensembles for a very long time. From DCI and WGI ensembles to concert halls around the globe, the mallets designed by Bruce Salyers have been a standard for performers everywhere. After working in the percussion industry for many years Bruce has launched Salyers Percussion to bring his original ideas to the percussion community. The goal is to offer the highest quality craftsmanship and unique mallet/drum stick designs to fellow percussionists everywhere.

I am very happy to announce Savannah Christa as the 2026 Salyers Percussion Scholarship winner. Savannah will be attending The University of Texas at San Antonio in the fall as a music education major.

Savannah will receive $500 for educational expenses and over $1000 worth of sticks, mallets, pads, and bags to make sure she has everything a music major will need to be successful. She is currently a student of Josue Solalinde.

Each year Salyers Percussion awards a scholarship to a student of a Salyers Percussion Endorsing Educator. We hope to encourage many young percussionists and support them as they enter the field of music education.

Congratulations, Savannah! We wish you much success in school and as a music educator!
