LARGE grass finished black Angus steers for sale: We have several steers born and raised on our farm ready to go to the processor. Naturally raised in our grass pastures without hormones. We don't have a scale to get exact weights of these guys, but the one we processed from this age group a few months ago was over 850 hanging weight--so we think these steers are all in the 1200lb+ range. We've been thrilled with the tenderness and marbling of the beef on the one we processed. The tenderloin was probably the best we've ever had! Come pick out your choice steer for $2000 (or leave the choice to us). Can include shipping to Sheriff's Meat Processing in Calhoun, GA if needed.

We also have a few remaining heifer and steer calves available for purchase. Let us know if you're interested ASAP on these.

09/26/2017

We currently have several fantastic looking steers ready to fill your freezer! Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing a half or whole steer--customized butchering is available. Our black Angus steers are born, raised, and finished on our grassy pastures.

Prices starting at $3.50/pound hanging weight (price includes animal transportation, slaughter, and all processing fees). While our steers range individually in size, most will likely be in the range of 600-750lbs hanging weight. You are welcome to request a general size (and we'll try our hardest to pick one that's close) or you can visit our farm and personally pick one out. You will take home 55-70% of the hanging weight in meat, depending on how you would like it cut. Vacuum packaging of beef cuts (instead of freezer paper) is available for an extra $.25/lb hanging weight.

Meat can be picked up in Calhoun, GA at our local butcher or delivery to the Atlanta and Chattanooga metro areas may be possible--we are currently exploring adding a delivery option that meets federal regulations.

WE FOUND HIM! Thanks to everyone who shared our post and kept an eye out for Wisdom. He's very happy to be back inside again after spending over 48 hours outside (and in a winter storm no less)! We're keeping a close eye on him, but he seems to be doing okay.

Anybody know anyone that fits this ticket?

07/27/2015

We will be making several trips to the Atlanta area in the next 3 weeks, so contact us if you're interested in getting produce delivered. Right now we have okra, corn, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, and of course eggs. Melons (cantaloupe and watermelon) are just starting to ripen, so we may have some if the deer stop feasting on them.

07/10/2015

We will be delivering boxes tomorrow and Saturday! If you'd like one, please let us know by 4pm tomorrow (sorry for the short notice). Boxes are $20 and will likely include at least 2lbs of tomatoes, a pound of okra, 6 ears of corn, 1/2lb of green beans, and 1/2lb of yellow squash or zucchini. An additional add-on of a dozen of eggs from our pastured chickens fed GMO free food (and our reject veggies) are available for $5-- but note that only a limited number of these are available.

Delivery is free within ~3 miles of I-75 from the I-75/85 interchange all the way north to exit 315 or from GA-400 between the perimeter and Old Milton. Add $5 for delivery outside that range or you can always pick-up at locations in East Roswell or South Marietta. Message us here or send Lisa a text at 573-880-5472 as she will be in charge of putting boxes together this week.

This past weekend it finally dried out enough to plow the garden! So plow we did, then planted roughly 100 tomato and pepper plants of many different varieties. We also managed to plant cucumbers, squash, peas, green beans, 2 varieties of corn, and of course okra. Melons are next on the list to be planted. We'll be baling three hay pastures this week. We also had 2 late calves born today! Staying busy on the farm!

Another new addition today! This one's a girl that we plan to eventually add to our breeding herd :)

The JCC Zoo Technology Class of 2022 visited the Rogers Family Farm today. They got up close and personal with black angus cattle, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, a turkey and some really cuddly kittens. What a wonderful experience! Thank you so much to Joshua and Aiden Rogers for being such welcoming and informative hosts.
