🛑Do not show up at the stand for wholesale. Get in touch with Jason before coming for wholesale!🛑

📞Give Jason a call. If he does not answer, send him a text. Don’t leave a voicemail. Good chances he won’t get to voicemails for awhile. He will reach out to you if you text him. His number is listed on our page.

❌PLEASE, for the love of all that’s Holy, do not call him or text him after 9pm. Y’all, we work SO HARD. Please, have some respect. (I feel like I shouldn’t have to say that out loud😣)

〽️I will not be able to direct you to fields or whatnot from Facebook. Contact Jason.✌🏼

(Copied from earlier post for general info about our farm and Sugartown!)

✔️Things to remember:

▪️We are not the only farmers in our area. All Sugartown melons are not from our farm. Also, everyone doesn’t always tell the truth when slinging names around about whom they purchased from. Don’t be gullible.

▪️WE DO NOT sell our farm fresh melons ANYWHERE except for our produce stands in Leesville and Sugartown, Louisiana. No, we personally are not coming to your town to sell our melons. That would be a wholesale vender which leads to the most important part yet, 👇🏽

▪️WE DO NOT keep up where people go to sit to resale our melons when we do sell wholesale. 1 very IMPORTANT reason why:
➖once melons leave our fields, we know those melons were good, however, the quality of those melons are solely based upon how the buyer takes care of them. For example, if they’re covered under a tarp, in the sun, and it’s 104° outside, those melons will likely be overripe in a very short amount of time. If the buyer does not properly keep the melons stacked so they do not roll around in their truck beds or trailer, those melons will appear to be overripe and mealy due to the heart breaking loose on the inside of the melon. None of these options sound good for our business. We have spent a very long time always trying to do the right thing and treating people right. We refuse to stand behind products once it’s out of our care because of someone else’s negligence.

We hope this helps clear up “Sugartown melons for sale” on side of the road:)

🚫Edited to add info 6-22-26🚫

We will not be opening until possibly this weekend. Vines are leaving and melons aren’t just quite ripe. We are doing our best to open, even if it’s just for a few days. Friday, June 26 is hopefully the day. We shall see. Please don’t come without calling or checking this page.

🍉🍉🍉Melon Update🍉🍉🍉

Well, there IS good news! 🙂Our 2nd crop has held on through all this tropical storm rain. We are SO CLOSE to opening. We are thinking the dates between June 22-24. We have not began to pick through our second field. We will have to wait to see exactly how many we can pick before opening. I WILL post before opening.

☀️Thanks for being patient. I have posted some pictures of our second field, so as one can see, vines are starting to go down due to the water however, we will have them for awhile. Help us pray we make it to July 4! Time is not on our side but some sunshine can help us a lot more than people think!

🛑WHOLESALE
We will open both locations of our produce stands in Sugartown and Leesville to supply those stands first before we even think about wholesaling melons. So wholesale will be still 7-10 days off. At least. They will be $8.50 (50 or more) this year when that time comes. And NO there is not a list you’d need to be put on and we do not take orders over the internet.

➰Suger-Town🤨💀
I could not help myself in posting this random picture of a vender on side of the road. There’s a good chance if they can’t spell “Sugartown” then they’re probably not from the area😂 But our local customers already know this much!

🔆If you made it this far.. whew! Thanks for reading because most people didn’t make it past “we will open soon” 😆 Come see us at one of our stands to ensure you get the best quality melon ever. We stand behind our fruit! God bless you and yours and we look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you all for the prayers.

🍉🍈Melon update🍈🍉

🌀I have been dreading this post, however, I do realize everyone is patiently waiting for us to open and are expecting an update. Hey, it’s not all bad, just a little longer wait than we expected🙃

💢The once beautiful vines that I posted in our last post has turned into what I’m showing you now all in a matter of 10 days or so. We have simply had too much rain. This is ONLY field 1 out of 3 fields. Thankful to the good Lord, our second field is still holding on and looks beautiful. Unfortunately, the watermelons and cantaloupes just are not ripe yet. We are still looking to open around June 20.. give or take a few days. Pease help us pray against the rain. I’m sure I speak for all melon farmers in the area when I request this. Too much rain is what caused our crop failure 2 years ago. We are finally getting some much needed sunshine, and we are thankful for that🙌🏽

⚠️WHOLESALE is on hold for the time being until we see exactly how our second and third field turn out.

⚠️ I will post on this page and my Leesville page when we are close to opening. And I will be able to update more on wholesale then.

💢Thank you guys for being patient. We are hanging on to much faith and hope that this is going to still be a great season. We look forward to seeing everyone real soon! God Bless!

(I try my hardest to get everyone’s questions answered, and sometimes, that can be bombarding🤪 so, If I respond to a comment made saying, “please refer to original thread/post”, that means your question is already answered in the above post🙃 Also, please be mindful of the date on posts before sharing:) Y’all are the best!

☀️CROP UPDATE☀️
The melons are growing! Not much longer now:) We are needing some sunshine. God has sustained us through all the rain that has fallen. He is always faithful! 🙌🏽

☀️STAND/WHOLESALE UPDATE☀️
We will not begin pulling melons and cantaloupes for our stands until roughly June 15-20th. Tentatively. We will post on our pages within a few days before opening for public. We will wait most likely a week or so before WHOLESALE will began for us. Wholesale price (50+) has not been set firmly yet due to crop size but will most likely be around $8.00/8.50 ea. We do not take orders through Facebook, and there is no “wholesale list” one would need to be added to.

✔️Remember, we are not the only farmers in our area. Not all Sugartown melons mean they come from us. Not all road side melons are from us. People get this really confused🙃

✔️Please help us pray that the hogs, varmints, and the crows stay out of our fields. They’re our worst enemy at the current moment😐

💚We appreciate and love our customers! Without yall, we wouldn’t be. Always remember, be kind, be patient, and smile:) It goes a LONG ways these days. God Bless! Please show us some love and SHARE to get the info out! See y’all soon.

Good morning and blessings to all! People have been reaching out to us about opening.😁 It makes my heart happy to see so many are anxiously awaiting for our opening! Here are a few pictures of our fields. The Lord has been faithful and sent us rain. How great is our Father?! We are now needing some warm, sunny days. (Us farmers are always asking for something.🤪)

From the best we can guess, we should be opening sometime between June12-15, all depending on cool nights and weather. I will post once it gets closer to that date.

‼️‼️Things to remember: 🧠

〰️We will open stands and let the rush settle down before we begin wholesaleing. Wholesale (50+) will be priced $7.50/$8.00, depending on our crops. We will post when wholesale begins.

〰️No, we will not be open for the Beauguard Watermelon Festival. (May 21-23)We have been getting many phone calls about this. I encourage families to get out and support the parish of Beauguard if you’re looking for local vendors and a fun carnival. However, we, our stands, are not affiliated with this festival.

〰️Yes, we should have our delicious cantaloupes🍈 and YELLOW melons (the Lord willing) at each stand this year along side of tomatoes. We will also have our famous SEEDLESS melons, but they won’t be ready during the earlier part of season, most likely end of June or beginning of July for the seedless. Don’t forget about the variety of canned goodies, they’ll be there too!

⚠️We have 2 stands we own and operate. Our stands will be open during the months of June and July with our personal homegrown melons. We do not sell our melons on side of roads and personally sell no where else. Also, we are not the only farmers in our area. Not all Sugartown melons are from our farms.

Plants are in the ground, and growing, but man oh man, it’s already been a journey around the sun. I’m going to post exactly what I posted on my personal page. Some may agree, some may not, some may like it, and some may not, but that’s ok. I respect and love everyone out there. Thank you all who do indeed lift our crops up in prayer!

Praise report time!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

As most of you know, we farm for a living. Let me tell you, there is nothing that comes easy in this line of work and Mother Nature likes to not cooperate, however, I know the ONE who calms the seas, controls the winds, the ONE that knows when a sparrow falls from the sky, the ONE that has the number of hairs on my head numbered, and knows how many grains of sand is on this Earth. How much more does Jesus care about us?! HE knows our thoughts and needs before we can even ask or think them.

Now to the good part:) We planted tender new plants over a week ago. They’ve gotten ZERO water and boy oh boy, they sure looked rough when I was plowing the grass between the rows. I refused to walk by sight, but by faith. I’ve prayed for God to loose his angel of protection around our fields! I have been speaking forth rain all week, along with fasting. These pictures might not look like much, but what I see, I SEE LIFE, when there should be none. Not only life, but growth. We have power and authority in the name of Jesus! How great is His faithfulness! I hear the sound of the abundance of rain!!! 🥹🙏🏽 God, I’m just grateful!

(A couple pictures were taken yesterday of a different field that has gotten no more than a sprinkle once, and look how big they are!) He hears our prayers folks! Time and time again Jesus shows up for us. Through the good and the bad, He is worthy of our praise!
