Well better late then never everyone!! We did make it to the Medina fair this year and showed this morning. As always it came with challenges!! This year it was me and mom braving the show ring with no one for pictures. Thankfully my cousin Amy Smoyer for arrived and jumped in to help. Not only did she run gates and took photos, she jumped in to show our lamb Sunny who did not want to work for anyone today. Thank you Amy!! Second shout out to Dave Clouser for running Mel into the Suffolk ewe grand drive. Results below

Bjorn won reserve grand champion overall suffolk ram
Our home bred ram won 4th in the suffolk ram lamb class

Mel (home bred) won 1st as a yearling ewe, and grand champion overall suffolk ewe
May (home bred) won 4th as a yearling suffolk ewe
Mel and May placed 1st as a yearling pair

1070 a home bred ewe won 2nd in the suffolk ewe lamb class
While Sunny (home bred) won 4th in the ewe lamb class
1070 and Sunny won 2nd as a lamb pair

We also placed 2nd as a breeding flock

We could not be happier here at Lonebrook Farm to see how well our home bred stock is doing in the ring with genetics we hand picked!!

Meet chungus.... hes been our record setting lamb this year that I haven't managed to showcase and was our prospect lamb to show. Some how on 2/28 when we did morning chores his rear leg was broken at 4 weeks old. We pray we can splint it till at least weaning. Please keep him in your prayers, hes definitely a fighter

These two look a little different. We decided to add a smaller ram to the farm for our first time ewes for an easier first time lambing. The one we keep will help us produce smaller babies for first time mom's so its safer for everyone. Can't wait to see what these polypay rams look like grown up

2026 lambing season is all wrapped up! Karen decided she did not want to hold out any longer and lambed a large set of twins!! The ram lambed (the spotted one) was born with only half a tail which i find very interesting. Finished the year out with 9 ewes and 17 lambs total. 12 ram lambs and 5 ewe lambs. But all are healthy
