Pasture 1301 A Chicken Bacon Ranch is a family farm in Sulphur Bluff Texas, Northeast of Dallas. It was started and is managed by the Steudemans, Timothy, Jessica, Garrett, Leon, Lorelei, and Abigail. Pasture 1301 was birthed out of a desire for food security, but has developed out of a pursuit for a local food system focused on "original design" production. Our animal husbandry practices seek to

produce pastured proteins as close to their natural environment as possible on a farm, allowing them to maximize their own potential.

We have had beautiful success with farrowing on pasture this past year. The pigness of pigs truley is marvelous!

This mama (her name is Red) brings her babies up to the front pasture every day to see us.
