📍Powerscourt Waterfall

One of Ireland’s most beautiful hidden gems, surrounded by lush green mountains and the most magical scenery. 🙂

Bring a picnic basket and enjoy the afternoon here. Playgrounds, bathrooms, food trucks and plenty of shade. The waterfall is breathtaking to look at from a distance, but it’s open and you can climb a few rocks and get really close to it.

Would for sure recommend visiting here on an afternoon you aren’t so sure what to do.

Who knew it would actually cause me more problems 😂

Getting a flight out of NYC was CRAZY!! So many cancelations. We ended up having to rent a car and drive overnight to Ohio just to make it back to Dallas before work Monday. 😭

Hoping Southwest Airlines makes it right! Very disappointed in the customer service we received.

We found the cutest carousel while waking around NYC 😍

The SeaGlass Carousel is in lower Manhattan, very close to the free ferry to see The Statue of Liberty.

You can purchase tickets online, but we went during peak hours and the line was very short.

Fish are small and can only accommodate one rider, so if your child is not able to sit up by themselves, an adult will also have to purchase a ticket and the child will have to ride in the adult’s lap.

Tickets are $6.00 and parents not riding can video, take pictures and watch. Kids exit through a different door in the back, so be prepared to grab them when the ride is over.

If you have a wagon or stroller, they will have to be left outside the ride, even if there’s a sleeping baby inside 😢

What are some of your favorite NYC spots with kids?

Sight in NYC can feel overwhelming to begin with, but then add kids into the mix and it can feel not doable.

Let’s start with Time’s Square. Depending on where your hotel is, you may only get to see it once or twice. It feels magical lit up at night, but less intimidating during the day. The Disney Store, M&M store and several souvenir shops are here so even if the kids get overwhelmed with everything that’s going on there, you can hop in a store a chill out for a bit.

Our kids LOVED the Museum of Natural History. I would for sure bring a stroller here, even if your kids are a little older. 4 floors of straight walking! But there is so much to see and it’s very entertaining. Carve out 3-4 hours so you aren’t rushed and being water/snacks. Make sure to purchase tickets from the museums website, not a third party vendor!

FAO Schwarz could potentially be a free activity, unless you get talked into buying an $80 stuffy 🤪 but just walking through the store is amazing! There are toy demonstrations and of course the big piano the kids can play! This could very well take 1-2 hours of just walking and looking.

A NYC adventure the kids won’t forget! The American Museum of Natural History was SO much fun! From dinosaurs, outer space, ocean life, fossils and much more.
Definitely a must-do when visiting New York City with kids!

NYC TIP: Make sure you buy your tickets directly from the museum’s website, not a third-party site! Your QR code needs to have a dinosaur in the middle or the museum won’t let you in.

Also, leave plenty of time! This museum is HUGE and can easily take half a day to really enjoy, especially with kids. Don’t try to squeeze it into an hour or two!

Make sure to hit up Central Park while you are there!
