Temporary tats with a permanent marker ✨ phone was too glitchy from the greenhouse heat to make a note, “dude, where’s my pen?”, and as I near the big four-oh, I’ve come to terms with not trusting my brain to remember word and number combinations long enough to walk from the plant sauna to the home office.

When so much of your day is spent growing things, you begin to notice the relationships happening all around you… hunters, hunted, pollinators, pests, and everything in between.

I’ve observed this beautiful Green Lynx spider over the last few days, quietly waiting.

Green Lynx spiders are generalist predators, meaning they’ll eat a variety of insects rather than targeting pests specifically. They may take beneficial insects along with pest insects, but we’re still glad to find them in the greenhouse. They’re a natural part of the ecosystem, and we’re happy to let them do what they do.
