Tough day today….. mom had a sick chicken that wasn’t getting better and asked me to put it out of its misery. As I left to go to moms, my buck (Ezra) was out. I cursed him and left. I’ve NEVER killed an animal (not counting grocery store meat) and never planned on it, but the bird was suffering. Got that done and head to Walmart come home to find my buck tried jump back in the pasture and got caught on the fence!!! I was freaking out, had to get Sean to help me. Goat was flailing around, couldn’t get him calm. Finally cut him free and he won’t use his leg. That’s gonna be a fun vet bill tomorrow. 🐐🐐🐐

get goats, get chickens… it’s all I wanted when we moved to KY. I may have to rethink it after today!

My last pregnant doe kidded last night and had twins, 1 boy and 1 girl (they share a birthday with my dad, so I’m naming the little boy Mac). They are super cute (though I’ve never seen one I didn’t think was cute)!!
