😥Not what you want to see in June. One of my favorite “Surprize” pecan trees by the driveway lost some big limbs yesterday. She’s weathered 2 major hurricanes and many other wind storms— farming has a way of reminding you that God is always in charge. She’s still standing for now🍃🙌

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gary’s mom, Marcline Underwood on Friday May 22nd, who for so many years was the heart and face of Underwood Pecan Farm.

So many of you knew her from the little pecan barn in Foley behind their home—from friendly conversations and the kindness she showed everyone who stopped by. She loved Jesus, her family, her church friends, and last but not least pecans. She loved sharing her knowledge of the different varieties.

We are grateful for the prayers, love, and support during her illness and passing. She said many times she was ready to go be with dad-that’s what she called Gary’s dad, Vaughn.

Her legacy will forever live on at the farm as customers still ask about her and how they all have a preference for this variety or that particular variety.
