Our friend Amanda is facing one of the hardest battles of her life after being diagnosed with leukemia for a second time as well as a liver tumor. While fighting this disease, she’s also trying to care for her three children and keep life as stable as possible for them.

The financial strain of medical treatments, missed work, utilities, and everyday expenses has become overwhelming. Right now, Amanda needs help keeping the lights on, paying essential bills, and staying in the rental home where her family feels safe and secure.

If you’re able, please consider donating to her GoFundMe. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease some of the burden and allow Amanda to focus on what matters most—her health and her children.

If you’re unable to donate, please share this post and her fundraiser. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than you know.

❤️ Thank you for helping Amanda and her family during this difficult time.

❤️ We just want to take a moment to say thank you.

**Edited to add Amanda’s info in comments**
Please reach out to her if you have any help to offer or would like to send her words of encouragement or simply cover her in prayer.

Because of the support you’ve shown Nature’s Farmacy—whether by purchasing produce, sharing our posts, stopping by our market, or simply encouraging us along the way—we’ve been able to extend that support back into our community in meaningful ways.

We’ve known a local mother who is going through a difficult health journey and working to get back on her feet. She has cancer and is dealing with it naturally and came to us seeking clean food. Because of the generosity of this community, she will be receiving weekly bags of fresh produce from us to help support her family during this time.

We will not be sharing her name out of respect for her privacy, but if she chooses to share her story or tag herself, she is welcome to do so.

This isn’t about recognition—it’s about what happens when a community comes together to support one another.

Thank you for helping us grow more than food. You are helping us grow care, connection, and hope.

We are truly grateful for each of you.

Morning tea on the farm just hits different. Before the chores start and the day gets busy, there’s this quiet moment where the world feels steel. Steam rising, birds waking up, and a warm cup in your hands. It’s a small ritual, but it sets the tone for the whole day.

🥒 Too Many Cucumbers? Make Cucumber Chips! 🥒

If your garden is overflowing with cucumbers, don’t let them go to waste! One of our favorite ways to use extras is to turn them into crispy, savory cucumber chips.

How to make them:
✔️ Slice cucumbers very thin.
✔️ Pat dry with a towel.
✔️ Sprinkle with dill salt and nutritional yeast.
✔️ Arrange in a single layer on dehydrator trays.
✔️ Dehydrate at 125°F until crisp (usually 8–12 hours depending on thickness).

The nutritional yeast gives them a cheesy, savory flavor, while the dill salt adds a fresh pickle-like taste. They’re a healthy snack that’s gluten-free, packed with flavor, and a great way to preserve your harvest.

Have you tried cucumber chips before? What are your favorite seasonings?

🌱 Fresh from the garden and nothing wasted—that’s the beauty of growing your own food!

Part of my daily chores here at the farm. Giving fresh water to the chickens and ducks and it doesn't matter how many times I clean these pools out as soon as I fill them up, they get dirty again! lol
