A few breeding pens enjoying their eggs! In order to- Indios, then black copper marans, olive eggers and a couple legbars with a marans rooster and finally my grow outs (about 3 months old) - 11 marans (3 roosters), a couple back crossed olive eggers and Bielefelder pullets.

Enjoying a treat! In less than month these two roosters will part ways and be with hens for breeding. Bielefelder flock has been laying for a couple of months now - just waiting on the lemon Owlbeards hens to get a bit bigger.

First time with eggs! Cautious!

This guy has me worried - it’s been cooler the last couple of days (mid 80s and overcast) and he’s just sitting there when I pulled up with an egg bake. Very unusual - but he is almost 6 (and hatchery quality - egg flock protector).
