Personal apology from Charles Talucci

We understand there has been a lot of drama surrounding our bakery in recent months and for that we want to apologize. Families can be tough and business can be even tougher. We promise to do better.

We pour our hearts and souls into Talucci’s. We want you to come here because you love our cookies, croissants and pizza. We want you to be here to meet with your loved ones and to enjoy a latte while you study or get work done. We want Talucci’s to be a place that brings people together, not something that gets caught up in the drama that too often pulls people apart.

Somewhere along the way, too much of our personal lives became part of the story of this bakery. That’s on us. We can’t change what has already happened, but we can decide what happens next.

So we’re getting back to what we love. Baking great treats. Serving our customers. Supporting our employees. Being good neighbors. Creating a place our growing community can enjoy and be proud of.

We know trust is earned and we hope to earn yours every time you walk through our doors.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Talucci’s through the good days and the difficult ones. We’re grateful you’re here.

Jacklyn, this is not an accurate representation of what happened. You left the bakery and went to Florida, leaving me to deal with the day-to-day operation of the business and the employees.

I only took over payroll approximately two weeks ago because payroll had previously been handled solely by you. I was not aware of the extent of the back pay that had accumulated and has been working to get employees caught up.

Since leaving, you have also changed passwords and access to business accounts, shut off the bakery phone, and changed the business listing/hours to show the bakery as “temporarily closed,” despite the bakery still operating.

The employees should not be dragged into the middle of a personal dispute. They are simply trying to get paid for the work they have already done. I’m trying to straighten out the payroll situation and keep the business running.
