It is Swarm season! Most bee keepers are hobbyists and bees are starting to out grow their hives or recognize their queen is getting weak right before the flow ends and harvest begins. If you find a swarm on your property give me a call at (706) 844-7843 and I or one (that I have numbers for) of our local bee keepers will come get the swarm for you. If you want to get into beekeeping I will bring a box to let you borrow until you can get set up.

USDA Farm Service Agency's Grassland Conservation Reserve Program can help you protect your grassland, including rangeland and pastureland, while maintaining the areas as grazing lands. The enrollment period is open now through May 29. FSA will pay enrollees an annual rental payment in return for implementing conservation measures into a haying, grazing, idle or wildlife habitat plan. https://www.fsa.usda.gov/resources/conservation/crp-grasslands
