The Alpaca Organization of America is celebrating National Alpaca Fleece Month in July to raise awareness of alpaca fleece, the farms that produce it, and the many ways this natural fiber moves from farm to finished product.

"Alpaca fleece begins on the farm, with responsible ownership, thoughtful breeding, and daily care for the animal. From there, it can become yarn, apparel, farm store products, and many other finished items. Each step supports farmers, fiber producers, mills, fiber artists, small businesses, and consumers who value natural fiber."

At Elk Run Alpaca, we care for the herd as members of the family. We partner with Head Spring Fiber Mill to bring you yarn, roving and batts. We also partner with Hoagland Handmade, Elizabeth Eck, Katherine Thoresen and others to create knit, crocheted and felted goods.
We sell our products at Warrenton Farmers Market on 2nd Saturdays, Old Bust Head Brewing Company's seasonal markets and at Archwood Green Barns Farmer's Market on 3rd Sundays.
We'd love to see you at market and convince you of the superiority of these natural fibers!
