Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Corks for the Cause event a success. We raised over $20,000 for specialty beds at Community Memorial Hospital!

Meet the 2024 Corks for the Cause Co-Chairs July 12, 2024 The 2024 Corks for the Cause co-chairs are Rodney and Mary Wells. Rod and Mary have lived in Sumner since 1980. They met on a blind date when both attended Iowa State University in 1971. Rod graduated in 1973 with a degree in Animal Science.....

The fourth annual Corks for the Cause is planned for Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Sumner. There will be live music from The McBride’s, wine and craft beer tastings, free-will offering meal, and silent auction.

This fundraising event is so important to raise funds for new specialty beds. The new beds include a bariatric bed and a pediatric crib. Having these specialty beds will decrease safety issues and increase patient satisfaction.
