Ziggy says you should stop by and say hi at the Bay Area Farmers and Artisans Market tomorrow at the Black Market Gourmet in Coos Bay from 10-2. We have lotion bars, balm sticks, travel sticks, fragrance tins and sticks, and salve jars.

We have a few varieties of plant based bars and plant based balms as well in our Peppermint Patch and Frankie and Lav scents. We also have a few Arnica balm sticks in the Citrus Bergamot Mint scent. These are made with oil infused with arnica, cayanne and ginger.

Also, Finn has THREE candles left before his restock with spring scents. He has been selling his candles to raise money for his trip to Washington DC with Kevin over spring break. He appreciates all your support and has a few more markets before his trip.

Wil will also have a meat update soon we expect a restock in sausage and few select cuts later this spring!

Always check your dirty farm SUV before you head in for work. I had the feeling that I had company. A meow from me and a holler back from Mews confirmed my suspicion. They were not thrilled that I found their hiding spot under their tarp.

Come say hi at the Bay Area Farmers and Artisans Market today until 2:00pm!

We have been working on restocking lip balms! We have Honey Tea restock and today we have a new flavor: Chocolate Hazelnut 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

We used the same wonderful ingredients (cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, vitamin e, and beeswax, along with a subtle flavor oil), but softened the formula a bit.

We also have lotion bars, salve sticks and jars, solid perfumes, and men’s care products as well.

Also, Finn still has some winter candles left before he launches his valentines and spring candles later this month! That Pistschio Baklava and Lingonberry Spice are yummy, and its not too late to enjoy a warm winter candle 🕯️🕯️🕯️

We want to thank everyone who supported us this year as we grew our line of care products. This has been a fun project for us that allows us to be creative and learn new skill sets. We love that we can create something nourishing for our skin with ingredients produced here at the farm, while utilizing as much of the animal as possible.

The first care products we created were our lard based salves and balms. Since then we’ve added lotion bars, lip balms, solid fragrances, and the men’s line that Kevin is working on. All of our products offer something different so we thought we’d do a product highlight.

So let us introduce you to our lotion bars! The lotion bars are probably my favorite product to make and use due to their simple but effective recipe, portability, and wide range of uses. The typical lotion bar is made from rendered kunekune lard, shea butter, and beeswax. Arrowroot powder and fractionated coconut oil (capric tryglicerides) improve the feel and slip, while vitamin e helps maintain the life of the oils and butters. We do not use preservatives and all of our bars are made with a 1-2% essential oil blend. Flavors offered include: Frankie and Lav, Matcha Vanilla Lavender, Sandalwood Citrus Sage, Lemon Rosemary Vanilla, Rosemary Spearmint, Cypress Citrus Mint, Juniper Rosemary Lemon, Coconut Citrus Sage, and Peppermint Patch.

We also offer specialty bars like an Aloe Bar, Arnica Bar, and plant-based bars which include our Bug Bar. The plant based bars do not use lard but weve still kept farm based ingredients by infusing the oils with calendula we’ve grown and dried at the farm.

Our lotion bars are versatile and a good option for both winter and summer use. They can be used to soothe weather exposed skin, as an after shave soother, foot lotion, or even as your daily skin product. A little goes a long way, and many people find that after regular use they do not need to use the bars as frequently due to the quality ingredients that help your skin absorb and hold on to all the goodness these bars have to offer.

Lotion bars are a great place to start if new to trying simple, old fashioned skin care products, and we offer plenty to chose from 💜
