We want to thank everyone who picked blueberries in our patch through the years. We’ve made lots of new friends.
Unfortunately due to several factors we will no longer open the patch to the public for UPick beginning with the 2022 season. This was a difficult decision but due to ongoing health issues we are unable to maintain the entire field as before so we have reduced our crop to maintain less area. Also due to the continued increase in expense cost of maintaining the crop, liability coverage continuing to rise and the unexpected crop losses due to weather conditions In 2021 season we had to reconsider all aspects of Warden Blueberry Patch!
We will continue to take orders (Phone Calls Only) if you would like to purchase WBP berries you may call David at 228-209-9961 to place your order. The cost is $15 gallon for 2022 season. Generally the season is from middle of May through 4th of July weekend.

It is with a heavy heart we will not open the Patch for pickers this season 😢
The Patch tried to stay in the fight but the weather conditions, birds get their share of a small crop, and splitting due to too much rain this week she lost the battle in a knock out blow!!
We estimate we lost 75% of our crop this year and that is just not enough berries left on trees to open for pickers. I generally pick a gallon in 20 minutes and on my trial run it took me almost an hour to pick a gallon. Pictures below were taken this morning! Even the birds are confused, usually they are at a 5 star buffet that has turned into slim pickings!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

We are cautiously planning to open Saturday June 5th! We want plenty of ripened berries for everyone! The Patch is simply not ready!

Update: unfortunately our expected opening day will be delayed a bit longer! Mr. Sun is working on them for sure but he needs more time! We are hoping we can open June 1st. This will allow the berries to turn blue but most importantly sweeten up! These pictures were taken yesterday. As you can see we have a few turning but we want your experience in our Patch to be enjoyable so please make your plans to visit us in June! I’ll update this page as soon as we open! Good News Bad News!
We will be opening this year!
But we keep monitoring the blueberries and they need more time!
So we anticipate opening Saturday May 29th. (Memorial Day Weekend) I will post the official opening date when we know for sure! We sell no berry before they are ready!
