I HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMERS IN THE WORLD!! 🌎

There must be something in the water 🌊 that 🤔 is making people go bananas 🍌 however since retiring from the military 🪖 I've learned more and more about myself and life!

For years I was expected to make no mistakes, dependable all the time, always organized and to care 🤗 for others no matter what I was personally facing - even during my battle with cancer 🦀 I was still expected to show up with a smile on my face!

Since retirement, I've discovered that this season ❄️ 🍁🍃 🌞 looks different! I've forgotten 🧠 things, I've made mistakes 🫣 things are a lot more unorganized and I have moved a lot slower! ⛹🏻

Yet through it all my customers still showed up and support!! 🙌🏻

What I've learned is that perfection does not create connection - grace does! 🙏🏻

For every customer who has stopped by -- THANK-YOU for your kindness, your support and the reminder that grace is the greatest gift 🎁 that we can give each other! ❤️ 🥗 🥤

Today was one of those humbling "Slow Down" days! 🪻

My daughter and I accidentally locked 🔐 ourselves out today (Got to love teenagers ❤️) and we spent quite sometime outside 🥵 waiting for help.

Somehow it made me appreciate the calming and simple things even more 💜 like lavender! 🪻🪻

2nd day on the South Carolina Ag + Art Tour + Farms of the Brave ✈️⚓🪖tour!

Today The Happy Assident 🫏 and Two Peas in a Py 🫛 gathered today on Lafleur's Farm 🍓

As we celebrated agriculture 🌽 and community, we remembered the heroes 🎖️who fought for freedom! Sumter County Veterans Affairs

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten! 💪🏻

This Memorial Day Weekend 🎖️today the rain may have shorten our time at Lafleur's Farm during the South Carolina Ag + Art Tour + Farms of the Brave tour but it did not stop the spirit of the day! 🪖✈️⚓ 💪🏻

As a new Veteran farmer 🌱 today was a reminder that even heavy, rainy 🌧️ days can bring connection, purpose, and new beginnings.

Standing alongside fellow Veteran 🇺🇸 farmers and business owners from the Air Force ✈️, Navy ⚓ and Army 🪖 was so humbling! 😊❤️

I'm grateful to be a part of a community of Veterans Lafleur's Farm , The Happy Assident and Two Peas in a Py who are serving 🫡 in new ways and believe in the commitment of hard work and community! 🌱

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day Weekend, come out ( City of Sumter, South Carolina, Farmer Veteran Coalition, South Carolina Agritourism ) and support Veteran own farms during the South Carolina Ag + Art Tour through the Farms of the Brave iniatiave! 🪖 💪🏻🫡

Featuring 19 South Carolina 🌴 Veteran own and led farms! 🌽🍅

I'll be at Lafleur's Farm on Sunday, 24 May from 1-5pm and on Monday, 25 May from 10-3pm with fellow Veterans Two Peas in a Py 🫛and The Happy Assident! 🫏

We hope you get a chance to come explore the farm, they have goats 🐐, ducks, some delicious 😋 Strawberries 🍓 and so much more!

You can also find me at the Sumter Farmers Market this Friday, 22 May from 12-5pm, I will have some The Purple Mushroom 🍄 Coffee! ☕

This past weekend was a whirlwind of connections, reflections, and gratitude. 😊

I kicked off last Friday at Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce meeting both familiar and new friends! Spent some time with CrossFit Sumter on Saturday before hitting the road to head to Florida ⛱️ to visit my mom for Mother's Day! 💐

Only to return to a thirsty farm 💦 but all is ok because stepping away reminded me that I may no longer serve in uniform 🫡🇺🇸🪖but I now serve back through food and it's all about serving people! 🥗

And talking about food 🍽️ come join me this Saturday, 16 May, from 6-8pm, for a Farm-to-Table Dinner at Kitchen Garden Farms.
