Welcome to our farm - located in Sunbright TN we just planted a lot of fruit trees and can't wait to What the heck were we thinking? In April 2021, we sold it!

In April 2014 we bought our farm - 39 acres in Greenville AL, no friends, no family living here, just dreams and visions of getting out of the rat race of life and finding a simplier way of living. We work harder now, but knowing where your food came from, what you are eating and that you did it yourself is well worth the reward! The main level of the house is just about complete 99.9%. We are waiting on glass shower doors for the master shower and a tiny punchlist to be complete. Here are pictures of the completed kitchen and living room. Just finished the laundry room. It is a tight fit, but it all worked out. We also splurged on buying something that we wanted for a long time which is a Speed Queen washer we’ll see how it lasts. They are super expensive, but by far the number one reliable brand that is available, although not quite as well as the old style before the government made them change it.

We still have some outside work to do. We need to install the front porch and a deck outback, but we will probably move in before that.
Currently working on making some storage space in the basement so we have somewhere to put the boxes and stuff once we move in.

Baby #11 - we are so close to closing out our season within a 30-45 day window. Hopefully 2 more to go!!

Baby #10 has arrived! April has been amazing, another a new heifer joined the herd.

Baby #9 is here! This first time mom did a great job, both are healthy and doing well.

A pretty gray/silver baby calf rounds us out to 8 so far this year - 5 heifers and 3 bulls.

Baby #7 🐮 arrived this morning! Only 5 or 6 more 🎉🐄🎉

This one had us a little worried. Mama cow has been showing signs of getting close to delivering, but we were concerned because she looked miserable. She had a problem a few years ago with a calf that passed away right after it was born, due to a genetic defect.

We went to check on her this morning, and her baby was outside the electric fence and didn’t know how to get back in.

We helped him out and are happy that we have a big, strong, healthy bull - welcome #6

So far we have three heifers and three bulls

Baby #4 and #5 arrived last night - that cattle stork must be getting tired! Everyone so far is doing great, especially the two mom’s this season that were heifers 🐮, we are about a third of the way through this years calf season

Baby #3 magically appeared at the farm this morning. So far all the momma cows and babies are doing great!
