Dee Dee's Cupcakery is an online cupcake shop and was founded in 2014 by Melodee Stadler. Melodee was raised in Yakima, WA a very small town located about 2 1/2 hours away from Seattle. Growing up she used to love baking with her Mom and quickly realized that not only did she have the sweetest tooth in the house, but creativity was something she loved to explore. Over the years she tried baking ma
ny things, but could not deny her unequivocal love for you guessed it, Cupcakes! In 2008, Melodee decided to pack up her things and move across the country to Fort Lauderdale, FL where she continued baking. Although it was only a hobby for many years, it was something she had a passion for and began exploring new flavors and techniques. She took advantage of each and every holiday that came near to give her a reason to bake. You know, holidays like Christmas, Valentines Day, and Wednesdays... It brought her joy seeing the satisfied look on her friend's, family's, and coworker's faces as they ate up her delicious treats. Which coined her phrase Baking is Love! After hearing so many suggestions to open a business from those that have tried her cupcakes, she began to perfect her craft and in 2014 founded Dee Dee's Cupcakery. Why Dee Dee's? Melodee's response:
As a child, like many other young girls did, I had an older brother who loved to pick on me. There was a cartoon that he loved to watch that had an "annoying" sister on it and guess what her name was? Yup, Dee Dee! He used to call me that to get under my skin and somehow coerced many in my family to do the same. I hated it!! Until one day, my adorable nephew Tristan came into the world and began talking. Of course my brother wanted to carry on the tradition of bugging me so he taught Tristan to call me, which he still does to this day, Auntie Dee Dee. I immediately fell in love! Just hearing it from that sweet boys mouth made my heart melt and it stuck!! Adding in my love for all things cupcakes we get the name, Dee Dee's Cupcakery. Our goal is to use our expertise, creativity and most importantly our love of cupcakes to create a quality and flavorful experience with every bite! We understand that everyone could use a little more love in their lives and we know that our cupcakes will mean so much more to you than just satisfying a sweet tooth. Making each order from scratch allows us to provide the most heavenly and gratifying cupcakes that will keep you coming back for more!
