We spent (almost) a week learning the in's and out's of how decisions are made for our fisheries through and management. Though we all have opinions, among other things; the open dialogue with the folks who work day in and out to make sure the next generation has fish to catch was amazing.

Super thankful for the team behind MREP, our shared passion for these fish, our ocean's, and the people who dedicate their careers to preserving what we have for the future.

Thank you to our friends for such a thoughtful gift to kick off 2026. Hard to describe the feeling seeing your face on a bobble head for the first time.

First month of the year has been our best yet. Tons of fish spiked and bled, spreading Ike love all across the country.

We're working hard, learning as we go, praying, remaining humble and grateful to all those who believe in us.

Fitting that 13 or so years ago there we were departing for our first HMS (highly migratory species) trip with just the two of us.

Now here we are with a single open access permit while we wait for the rest to process and the best team around.

We are thrilled to welcome the first of many dedicated Ike Jime vessels to the team.

is no stranger to the water, he's ran his own successful charter company for years and you still can book your own bucket list trip with him.

We've spent the last several months working directly with Greg, introducing him to our process, and permitting his vessel for commercial fishing.

This is a dream come true for GOMIJ. Supporting fishermen by giving them the knowledge and platform to expand their businesses is one of the goals we set out to achieve.
