Today is Gus’s 5th birthday! 🐾🐶

Gus is our livestock guardian dog, protecting our chickens and turkeys here at The Lavender Homestead. With him on duty, we haven’t lost a single bird to predators.

He’s 3/4 Great Pyrenees and 1/4 Anatolian Shepherd — loyal, smart, and proven in the field.

Gus is available for stud service to farms with LGDs. Message me if interested.

Late winter on the homestead means it’s time to tap the maple trees and begin the slow, rewarding process of making maple syrup.

Each year, I collect 300–400 gallons of sap and boil it down over a wood fire to just 8–10 gallons of pure maple syrup. It’s a labor of patience, but the result is one of nature’s sweetest rewards.

We’ll have bottles available at The Lavender Homestead this summer (while supplies last). But if you can’t wait, you’re in luck—I just dropped off a case at Jolted LLC , ready for your next craving 😋
