At Ironhide Cattle, we take pride in raising quality show cattle that are gentle, well-started, and ready to succeed, even in the hands of a first-year showman.
Our calves are handled from the day they’re born, and it shows. They grow up calm, people-oriented, and eager to please, making them a great fit for youth in the ring.

This red Shorthorn proved just that at the Maricopa County Fair breeding show, earning Reserve Showmanship. We couldn’t be more proud of this senior for stepping into the ring and doing an outstanding job presenting her heifer.

We’re absolutely in love with our 2025 babies, and we can’t wait to welcome our 2026 ones. Big things ahead for our herd and our family.

🐂 The black calf is a bull, and the two reds are heifers!
We’d love for y’all to come out and see them. They’ll be ready for a new pasture in April, and we can’t wait to watch them grow with their future families.

This last week we welcomed two little calves. We definitely enjoy this time of year. First up is Princess Ariel. Registered shorthorn. She will be a week old tomorrow!

Last night we welcomed our first little heifer to start off this calving season. She will be a registered Shorthorn.

From the Show Ring to the Breeding Pen

What started as a dream, convincing our parents to let us show cattle, quickly became a family passion. First it was me, then my brother joined in, and from that moment on we never looked back.

We poured our hearts into showmanship and into raising calves that were gentle, good‑minded, and broke. Calves that other families could enjoy and succeed with. When folks ask my mom what breed we run, she laughs and says it’s kinda like 31 flavors: Brahman, Shorthorn, Charolais, Chianina, and a few crosses sprinkled in.

Now that both of us have aged out of the county fair, our focus has shifted. This year, we’ve placed calves with the right kids, and we couldn’t be more excited to cheer them on and visit county fairs to support the next generation of showmen.

And the best part? New calves will be hitting the ground in the coming weeks! we can’t wait to share them with you! Stay tuned, because the story is just getting started.
