Harvest season is officially underway in Amador County and behind every bottle poured in our Wine on 49 tasting rooms is a story that begins long before the first sip.

This week’s Postcard from Harvest comes from La Mesa Vineyards, where the team is already hard at work bringing in this year’s fruit, including Viognier, Gamay, Grenache and Primitivo.

From early mornings in the vineyard to the careful decisions made in the cellar, harvest is where the magic begins.

We’re raising a glass to our local winemakers who are working tirelessly to transform this year’s grapes into the wines we’ll soon enjoy.

One last day of ragtime, wine + wandering through Sutter Creek. 🎹🍷✨ Today marks the third and final day of the 2026 Historic Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival and there’s still plenty of music to enjoy throughout town before we say goodbye to another wonderful festival weekend.

As you make your way between performances, make a little time to sip your way along Wine on 49 and visit Sutter Creek’s local tasting rooms. 🍷

A special Sunday stop: La Mesa Vineyards , where festival performers will be bringing the ragtime spirit right into the tasting room from mid-morning through early afternoon. Grab a glass, settle in and enjoy an intimate little taste of what makes this festival and Sutter Creek so special.

Then keep strolling Main Street, exploring the shops, tasting rooms and restaurants and soaking up those final notes before the festival finale. 🎶
