In case anyone cares…. My gravestone should read death by dahlias 😂😂😂

545 pm..4 days digging the holes… worst day today no doubt in heat!! Alas 2500 freaking dahlias in the ground in 4 different sections and I even ran out of room.

To say I’m sore and exhausted is an understatement! 23 hours in 3 days, 1200 dahlias planted by hand….in 3 different sections. Still have many more to get planted!!

Happy Wednesday!!!

I don’t generally talk about my kids on here often… but I wanted to just share this little journey. My youngest child… he’s been obsessed with cooking and growing his own food for the longest time! He’s not your average 12 year old! (He got a kitchen aid mixer for his 12th birthday 😂)

He first took interest in cooking in 2016 at the age of 2. Here we are 2026…. He cooks often(takes it very seriously 😂) but my favorite part is creating his own garden! We spent this past weekend doing just that. I love watching him take interest and initiative at the age of 12 to grow wholesome and healthy food, and to appreciate how it’s grown. He does plan on selling extra things this summer (if he doesn’t use it all himself) but I’m so proud of him for this amazing journey he’s on!

So be on the lookout this summer!!! He may slip some veggies in the stand!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there!!!

My day consisted of tilling a section and clearing and mulching another while not feeling so great. Alas it needed to get done.
