• 1 lb ground beef
• 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
• 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• Salt & black pepper

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
2. Cook beef:
In a skillet cook ground beef until browned.
Season with salt and pepper, then drain excess grease.
3. Layer casserole:
• Add a layer of sliced potatoes
• Top with some cooked beef
• Spread a layer of cream of mushroom soup
• Repeat layers until ingredients are used
4. Cover & bake:
Cover with foil and bake 45–50 minutes until potatoes are tender.
5. Add cheese:
